A decorative walnut Tumbridgeware tea caddy with two interior compartments. Tumbridgeware being characterized as a form of decoratively inlaid woodwork, typically in the form of boxes, that is characteristic of Tumbridge and the spa town of Royal Tumbridge Wells in Kent in the 18th and 19th centuries. This one dates from circa 1860, and has good inlay with an eye catching chevron motif. There is no key.
