Early English Oak Tavern Table
Reference #: 0621-MDJ9

An English oak tavern table, circa 1700. The eye is immediately drawn to the dramatic turned legs and carved feet. The top, fashioned of three planks with breadboard ends, is appropriately distressed for it’s age. We considered trying to correct the separation of the planks and the visibility of the connecting dowels, but did not want to disturb the pristine original condition of the piece or disturb the natural grain, texture and patina. An elegant piece of history.
