An elegant fruitwood side table with wonderful grain and color and a graceful thin top. Good tapered legs, pegged at the apron. The key does not turn in the lock but is attractive and useful as a drawer pull. Although this piece is generously proportioned, the apron height is only 23 inches, which we feel is not high enough for use as a writing table. There is an old crack on the top, clearly visible in the the photos, which has been filled with wax in the traditional manner.
